Independent Work

Two businesses I named, branded, and shipped.

0→1 product and brand work, from naming to launch.

Alongside product work, I've built two service businesses end to end: the positioning, name, identity, digital experience, service structure, and launch. Every decision in them is one I had to make and then live with, which is a different kind of design experience than handing off a file.

Different audiences.
Same design approach.
Real results.

Shots by the Sea

Surf · Water · Lifestyle Photography

Surf and ocean sports photography in San Diego. I chose the name, designed the wordmark and identity, and built the site from scratch with no template: layout, type, color, and every page structure. It sells three things, and I defined all of them: action coverage, coastal lifestyle sessions, and gallery delivery.

Design decision

The gallery is the product, not the shoot.

Clients are buying photographs that show up somewhere clean and easy to download, so delivery got the same design attention as the marketing pages.

Sable Pet Photography

Natural · Playful · Real

Outdoor pet photography in San Diego. I chose the name and the identity, built the site from scratch with no template, and defined the offer itself. The harder problem here was not visual. It was working out how someone decides to book at all.

Design decision

Two clear packages instead of custom quoting.

I structured the offer around two easy-to-compare sessions so the decision is simpler before anyone reaches out. Clear pricing and clear inclusions reduce friction and help more people take the next step.

What these projects demonstrate

Product thinking, applied in the real world

Turning ideas into real experiences

These projects show my ability to take an idea from zero to one: defining the problem, shaping the solution, and launching something people actually use.

Designing the whole system

I worked across brand, product, content, and operations, making connected decisions rather than isolated design outputs.

Iteration based on real feedback

After launch, I refined the experience based on how real people used them, what worked, and what didn't.
