Overview

Requis is an enterprise procurement platform that helps organizations manage surplus inventory and marketplace transactions. I redesigned the Lot Management experience to simplify complex workflows, improve usability, and help suppliers manage inventory more efficiently.

The Challenge

Managing inventory involved complex workflows that interrupted editing, relied on icon-only actions, and made important tasks difficult to discover. The objective was to reduce friction while improving clarity and efficiency.

Understanding the Workflow

As the product designer, I collaborated with Product Managers, frontend engineers, and customer-facing stakeholders. Insights came from workflow reviews, customer feedback, heatmaps, and iterative discussions rather than a formal research study.

Design Decisions

Simplify Inventory Management

Made frequently used actions easier to find and reduced unnecessary complexity.

Improve Workflow Navigation

Introduced a clearer Back to Lot Preview flow to maintain context while editing.

Improve Discoverability

Added clearer labels, improved information hierarchy, and increased visibility of key actions.

Final Solution

The redesign created a more intuitive enterprise workflow by improving navigation, discoverability, and information architecture. Additional design work contributed to Marketplace, Procurement, CRM, Supplier Storefront, onboarding, notifications, and responsive experiences.

Reflection

This project reinforced the value of simplifying enterprise workflows through thoughtful UX, reusable interface patterns, and close collaboration with engineering. The focus was making existing workflows clearer and easier to use rather than adding complexity.
